Joyce Rees
Joyce has pastored for more than thirty years. In addition, she is a sought-after speaker for diverse parts of the Church globally as an exceptional communicator.
In 2017 she launched the very well received theological podcast, “Down to Earth” with her good friend, Jess DiSabatino. An experiment in dialogical preaching, the podcast has produced over 50 episodes on subjects as diverse as Deconstruction, Power & Racism, Getting Practical about Justice, the role of the Pastor, Women in Leadership, Feasting, and more. Over 50,000 listeners tuned into season 2 and season 3 is in production! You can find Down to Earth episodes wherever you get your podcasts or on their website.
Joyce is also well regarded for her work as the founding director of Jacob's Well, an intentional Christian community in Vancouver's downtown eastside. During the decade she served there she also planted the Strathcona Vineyard Church in the same neighbourhood.
Since 2014 Joyce has served as co-lead pastor at Epic Vineyard Church in Calgary. She also works part time for Vineyard Canada, as their National Resource Coordinator.
